എഴുകോനെ: എഴുകോനെ ടി .എച്ച് .എസ് നു സമീപം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പലചരക്ക് കട ഇന്നലെ രാത്രിയില്‍ കത്തി നശിച്ചതില്‍ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ചു    ഇന്ന് എഴുകോണില്‍ ഹര്‍ത്താല്‍ നടത്തി.

പോലീസ് സംഘത്തിനുനേരെ പട്ടാളക്കാരന്റെ പരാക്രമം

എഴുകോണ്‍: പരാതി അന്വേഷിക്കാനെത്തിയ പോലീസും പട്ടാളക്കാരനായ യുവാവും തമ്മില്‍ മല്ലയുദ്ധം. എസ്.ഐ. അടക്കം നാലു പോലീസുകാര്‍ക്കും യുവാവിനും പരിക്കേറ്റു.

അവധിക്ക് നാട്ടിലെത്തിയ ജവാന്‍ ഇടയ്ക്കിടം തിലകത്തില്‍ ജയകുമാ(33)റും എഴുകോണ്‍ എസ്.ഐ. മുഹമ്മദ്ഖാന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള പോലീസ് സംഘവുമാണ് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച ഏറ്റുമുട്ടിയത്.

ജയകുമാറിനും എസ്.ഐയ്ക്കും പുറമേ പോലീസ് ഡ്രൈവര്‍ രാജു, സിവില്‍ പോലീസ് ഓഫീസര്‍ ബിജു, ഹോം ഗാര്‍ഡ് അജി എന്നിവര്‍ക്കാണ് പരിക്കേറ്റത്.

ജയകുമാറിനെതിരെ അയല്‍വാസി എഴുകോണ്‍ പോലീസില്‍ പരാതി നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു. ഇതേക്കുറിച്ച് അന്വേഷിക്കാനെത്തിയ സിവില്‍ പോലീസ് ഓഫീസര്‍ ബിജുവിനു മുന്നില്‍വച്ച് ജയകുമാര്‍ ഭാര്യയെ മര്‍ദ്ദിച്ചു. തടയാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ച ബിജുവിനും മര്‍ദ്ദനമേറ്റു.

വിവരമറിഞ്ഞ് പോലീസുകാരുമായെത്തിയ എസ്.ഐ. യുമായും ജയകുമാര്‍ ഏറ്റുമുട്ടി. തുടര്‍ന്ന് പോലീസ് സാഹസികമായാണ് ഇയാളെ കീഴടക്കിയത്.

പരിക്കേറ്റനിലയില്‍ കൊട്ടാരക്കര താലൂക്ക് ആസ്​പത്രിയിലെത്തിച്ച ജയകുമാര്‍ പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷയ്ക്ക് സമ്മതിക്കാതെ ഡോക്ടര്‍ക്കും നേഴ്‌സിനുമെതിരെ അധിക്ഷേപവാക്കുകള്‍ ചൊരിഞ്ഞതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഡിസ്ചാര്‍ജ്ജ് ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു. മുമ്പ് എഴുകോണ്‍ എസ്.ഐ. ആയിരുന്ന ഷാബുവിനെ കടിച്ചുപരിക്കേല്പിച്ചശേഷം രക്ഷപെട്ട കേസിലും പ്രതിയാണ് ജയകുമാര്‍.

Dr.Sukumar Azhikode passed away

Thrissur: Malayalam writer and orator Sukumar Azhikode passed away at a private hospital here Tuesday morning, at 6.40.After being detected with bone cancer, Azhikode was admitted to hospital Dec 7, last year and his condition had deteriorated in the past few days. His body will then be taken to his home town in Azhikode in Kannur district and the funeral will take place Wednesday11 a.m  at the Payamabalam beach.

Ezhukone:The counting of Kochanjilimood ward of Ezhukone Grama Panchayath started today at Kottarakkara block panchayath.Adv P K Raveendran of CPI[M] and Adv.Ratheesh Kilithattil of Congress are the candidates.Its a sitting seat of CPM.The bye election was due to the resignation of the CPM member as he got Govt job.

Bank Account Number portability soon

Indian customers soon be allowed to switch banks without changing accout numbers like mobile number portability govt plans to introduce bank account number portability.The idea is to save customers the inconvenience of opening and closing bank accounts or opening multiple accounts if they have to shift to a new locations or find their banks services unsatisfactory.
The finance ministry has started discussions with RBI and banks in India with this matter.In a step towards this direction all banks will be asks to follow Common Know Your customer norms.
