Petrol Price Increased
ന്യൂഡല്ഹി: വിലക്കയറ്റം കൊണ്ട് പൊറുതിമുട്ടിയ സാധാരണക്കാരന് മറ്റൊരു
ഇരുട്ടടി കൂടി സമ്മാനിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പൊതുമേഖലാ എണ്ണക്കമ്പനികള് പെട്രോളിന്റെ
വില കുത്തനെ കൂട്ടി. പെട്രോള് ലിറ്ററിന് 7.50 രൂപയാണ് കൂട്ടിയത്.
വിലവര്ധന ബുധനാഴ്ച അര്ധരാത്രി മുതല് നിലവില് വരും. പാര്ലമെന്റ്
സമ്മേളനം കഴിഞ്ഞ ഉടനെയാണ് വിലവര്ധനാ പ്രഖ്യാപനം ഉണ്ടായത്.
ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വര്ധനയാണിത്. ആറു മാസം മുന്പ് മാത്രമാണ് എണ്ണക്കമ്പനികള് പെട്രോളിന്റെ വില കൂട്ടിയത്. എണ്ണക്കമ്പനികള് ലിറ്ററിന് 6.28 രൂപയുടെ വര്ധനവാണ് വരുത്തിയത്. വാറ്റ് നികുതി കൂടി ചേരുന്നതോടെയാണിത് 7.50 രൂപയാകുന്നത്. പുതുക്കിയ നിരക്കനുസരിച്ച് മുംബൈയില് ഒരു ലിറ്റര് പെട്രോളിന് 78.32 രൂപയാകും. നേരത്തെയിത് 70.82 രൂപയാണിത്. ഡെല്ഹിയില് ഒരു ലിറ്റര് പെട്രോളിന് 73.14 രൂപയാണ് പുതുക്കിയ നിരക്ക്.
ഡീസല് വിലയില് തല്ക്കാലം വര്ധനവൊന്നും വരുത്തിയിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിലും പാചകവാതകത്തിന്റെ വിലയും കൂട്ടാന് കമ്പനികള് ആലോചിക്കുന്നതായി റിപ്പോര്ട്ടുകളുണ്ട്.
രൂപയുടെ മൂല്യത്തകര്ച്ചയാണ് ഈ വിലവര്ധനവിന് കാരണമായി കേന്ദ്രസര്ക്കാരും എണ്ണക്കമ്പനികളും പറയുന്നത്.
എന്നാല്, സാധാരണക്കാരന് വയറ്റത്തടി സമ്മാനിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പേട്രോള്വില തോന്നിയതുപോലെ കൂട്ടാന് പാകത്തില് എണ്ണക്കമ്പനികളെ കയറൂരിവിട്ട കേന്ദ്ര സര്ക്കാരിനെതിരെ രൂക്ഷമായ വിമര്ശവുമായി പ്രതിപക്ഷ കക്ഷികള് രംഗത്തെത്തി. വിലവര്ധന യാതൊരു കാരണവശാലും അംഗീകരിക്കാന് കഴിയില്ലെന്ന് ബി.ജെ.പി. നേതാവ് ബല്ബൂര് പുഞ്ച് പറഞ്ഞു. കേന്ദ്രസര്ക്കാര് ജനങ്ങളെ വഞ്ചിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് സി.പി.ഐ. നേതാവ് ഡി. രാജ ആരോപിച്ചു. യു.പി.എ. ഘടകകക്ഷികളായ എന്.സി.പി.യും തൃണമൂല് കോണ്ഗ്രസും വിലവര്ധനവിനെതിരെ രംഗത്തുവന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്.

accident at Kolannoor,no one died
കാറുകള് ഓടിച്ചിരുന്ന കോട്ടാത്തല മാനാപ്പള്ളില്വീട്ടില് രാമചന്ദ്രന് പിള്ളയുടെ മകന് സുജിത്ത് (29), കൊല്ലം തിരുമുല്ലവാരം മനയില്ക്കുളങ്ങര വനജഭവനില് കുമാര് (35) എന്നിവരാണ് നിസ്സാരപരിക്കുകളോടെ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത്. ദേശീയപാത 744-ല് എഴുകോണിന് സമീപം കോളന്നൂരില് തിങ്കളാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് രണ്ടിനായിരുന്നു അപകടം.
കെ.എസ്.ആര്.ടി.സി. ബസിലെ യാത്രക്കാരും പരിക്കുകളില്ലാതെ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു.
കൊട്ടാരക്കരയിലേക്ക് വരികയായിരുന്ന ഓര്ഡിനറി ബസ് ആദ്യം സുജിത്ത് ഓടിച്ചിരുന്ന കാറില് ഇടിച്ചശേഷം പിന്നാലെയെത്തിയ കുമാറിന്റെ കാറിലേക്ക് ഇടിച്ചുകയറുകയായിരുന്നു.
ഇടിയുടെ ആഘാതത്തില് സുജിത്തിന്റെ കാര് പമ്പരം പോലെ കറങ്ങിയതായി ദൃക്സാക്ഷികള് പറഞ്ഞു.
പിന്നീട് കുമാറിന്റെ കാറിന്റെ മധ്യത്തേക്ക് ഇടിച്ചുകയറിയ ബസ് സമീപത്തുള്ള സ്വകാര്യ സ്കൂളിന്റെ മതിലിനോട് ചേര്ന്നാണ് നിന്നത്.പിന്വശത്തെ ചില്ല് തകര്ത്താണ് കുമാറിനെ പുറത്തെടുത്തത്.
മരണക്കളമായി മാറിക്കഴിഞ്ഞ, എഴുകോണിനും അമ്പലത്തുംകാലയ്ക്കും ഇടയിലുള്ള ദേശീയപാതയിലെ അപകടദൃശ്യം ആരെയും ഞെട്ടിക്കുന്നതായിരുന്നു.
സാരമായ പരിക്കുകള് പോലുമില്ലാതെ യാത്രക്കാര് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടെന്ന വാര്ത്ത അദ്ഭുതത്തോടെയാണ് പരിസരവാസികളും കാഴ്ചക്കാരും പങ്കിട്ടത്.
കണ്ണനല്ലൂരിലെ പുഷ്പവ്യാപാരിയാണ് കുമാര്. കൊട്ടാരക്കരയില് നടന്ന അസോസിയേഷന് യോഗത്തില് പങ്കെടുത്ത് മടങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു.
കൊട്ടാരക്കര വൈദ്യുതിഭവന് ജീവനക്കാരനാണ് സുജിത്ത്. ഇയാളെ കൊട്ടാരക്കര താലൂക്ക് ആസ്പത്രിയിലും കുമാറിനെ കൊല്ലത്തെ സ്വകാര്യ ആസ്പത്രിയിലും പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. എഴുകോണ് പോലീസ് കേസെടുത്തു.

എഴുകോണ്: അശ്വതി ഉത്സവങ്ങളുടെ സമാപനം കുറിക്കുന്ന ഞായറാഴ്ച എഴുകോണ് ഉത്സവക്കാഴ്ചകളുടെ സംഗമഭൂമിയാകും.
എഴുകോണ് മാടന്കാവ് മഹാദേവര്ക്ഷേത്രം, കോയിക്കല് ശ്രീധര്മ്മശാസ്താക്ഷേത്രം, ചീരങ്കാവ് ഭഗവതിക്ഷേത്രം എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ ഉത്സവങ്ങളാണ് ഇന്ന് സമാപിക്കുന്നത്. എഴുകോണിലെ കെട്ടുകാഴ്ച വൈകിട്ട് 3നും കോയിക്കല്, ചീരങ്കാവ് ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലേത് നാലിനും തുടങ്ങും.

എം.എല്.എ. ഫണ്ടില്നിന്ന് 5.5 ലക്ഷം രൂപ ചെലവഴിച്ചാണ് വിളക്ക് സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. 16 മീറ്റര് ഉയരത്തിലുള്ള വിളക്കിന് 4800 വാട്ട്സ് വൈദ്യുതിയാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. വൈദ്യുതിച്ചെലവ് ഗ്രാമപ്പഞ്ചായത്ത് വഹിക്കും.
എഴുകോണിന് പുറമേ നിയോജകമണ്ഡലത്തിലെ നെടുമണ്കാവ്, ഓടനാവട്ടം, വെളിയം, നെല്ലിക്കുന്നം, പൂവറ്റൂര്, പുത്തൂര് കവലകളിലും ഹൈമാസ്റ്റ് വിളക്ക് സ്ഥാപിക്കാന് നടപടിയായതായി എം.എല്.എ. പറഞ്ഞു.
ഉദ്ഘാടന ചടങ്ങില് കൊട്ടാരക്കര റൂറല് ഡിവൈ.എസ്.പി. കെ.എം.ആന്േറാ, ഗ്രാമപ്പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡന്റ് വി.എസ്.സോമരാജന്, ബ്ലോക്ക് പഞ്ചായത്തംഗം കെ.തമ്പാന് തുടങ്ങിയവര് പങ്കെടുത്തു.

എഴുകോണ്: പരാതി അന്വേഷിക്കാനെത്തിയ പോലീസും പട്ടാളക്കാരനായ യുവാവും തമ്മില് മല്ലയുദ്ധം. എസ്.ഐ. അടക്കം നാലു പോലീസുകാര്ക്കും യുവാവിനും പരിക്കേറ്റു.
അവധിക്ക് നാട്ടിലെത്തിയ ജവാന് ഇടയ്ക്കിടം തിലകത്തില് ജയകുമാ(33)റും എഴുകോണ് എസ്.ഐ. മുഹമ്മദ്ഖാന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള പോലീസ് സംഘവുമാണ് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച ഏറ്റുമുട്ടിയത്.
ജയകുമാറിനും എസ്.ഐയ്ക്കും പുറമേ പോലീസ് ഡ്രൈവര് രാജു, സിവില് പോലീസ് ഓഫീസര് ബിജു, ഹോം ഗാര്ഡ് അജി എന്നിവര്ക്കാണ് പരിക്കേറ്റത്.
ജയകുമാറിനെതിരെ അയല്വാസി എഴുകോണ് പോലീസില് പരാതി നല്കിയിരുന്നു. ഇതേക്കുറിച്ച് അന്വേഷിക്കാനെത്തിയ സിവില് പോലീസ് ഓഫീസര് ബിജുവിനു മുന്നില്വച്ച് ജയകുമാര് ഭാര്യയെ മര്ദ്ദിച്ചു. തടയാന് ശ്രമിച്ച ബിജുവിനും മര്ദ്ദനമേറ്റു.
വിവരമറിഞ്ഞ് പോലീസുകാരുമായെത്തിയ എസ്.ഐ. യുമായും ജയകുമാര് ഏറ്റുമുട്ടി. തുടര്ന്ന് പോലീസ് സാഹസികമായാണ് ഇയാളെ കീഴടക്കിയത്.
പരിക്കേറ്റനിലയില് കൊട്ടാരക്കര താലൂക്ക് ആസ്പത്രിയിലെത്തിച്ച ജയകുമാര് പ്രഥമശുശ്രൂഷയ്ക്ക് സമ്മതിക്കാതെ ഡോക്ടര്ക്കും നേഴ്സിനുമെതിരെ അധിക്ഷേപവാക്കുകള് ചൊരിഞ്ഞതിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് ഡിസ്ചാര്ജ്ജ് ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു. മുമ്പ് എഴുകോണ് എസ്.ഐ. ആയിരുന്ന ഷാബുവിനെ കടിച്ചുപരിക്കേല്പിച്ചശേഷം രക്ഷപെട്ട കേസിലും പ്രതിയാണ് ജയകുമാര്.

Dr.Sukumar Azhikode passed away
Thrissur: Malayalam writer and orator Sukumar Azhikode passed away at a private hospital here Tuesday morning, at 6.40.After being detected with bone cancer, Azhikode was admitted to hospital
Dec 7, last year and his condition had deteriorated in the past few
days. His body will then be taken to his home town in
Azhikode in Kannur district and the funeral will take place Wednesday11 a.m at the Payamabalam beach.

Bank Account Number portability soon
Indian customers soon be allowed to switch banks without changing accout
numbers like mobile number portability govt plans to introduce bank account number portability.The
idea is to save customers the inconvenience of opening and closing bank
accounts or opening multiple accounts if they have to shift to a new
locations or find their banks services unsatisfactory.
The finance ministry has started discussions with RBI and banks in India with this matter.In a step towards this direction all banks will be asks to follow Common Know Your customer norms.
